A visit from a Fireman!
Many thanks to Miss.O'Donoghue's dad who visited our school recently. Anthony is a fireman and he told us all about his job. We were informed that firemen have only 60 seconds to leave in the fire engine once they hear the fire alarm!! We now realise that firemen are trained very thoroughly and are very brave, risking their lives to save others. At the end of the session we had an opportunity to try on the fire protective clothing...it was very heavy!

They brought along a stethoscope, a blood pressure monitor, an oxygen mask and a fob watch. We compared Jacqueline's graduation photo to a graduation photo from the 1960's. The uniforms were very different! After the lovely afternoon with Jacqueline and Michelle many pupils in 2nd class would now like to pursue a career in the medical world. Míle buíochas cailíní!
