Yards

In recent years, Cloghroe N.S. has added two new dimensions to our playgrounds-Colourful ground games and mounted wall games. Children in the middle yard, can now get actively engaged in wall games such as Connect 4, Chess or Draughts , Turbo Racer and Rings as well as ground games such as Four-Corners, Hopscotch, Target-Toss, Dot to Dot Jump and a clock for practising the time.In the Senior Girls yard we have Snakes and Ladders and noughts and Crosses. In the Junior yard, we also have counting ladders, an ABC Square as well an activity trail. Children also make up their own games using the drawings.

Children play Handball, Soccer, and Girls football on yard as well at lunch-break.
