Table Tennis update
The first Munster Ranking was held in Beech Hill Table Tennis Club on the 7th and 8th of October.
Several players from Cloghroe N.S. competed and did very well.
In the Under 11 girls, Niamh Lee came 3rd and Elena Geary came 4th.
The under 11 boys had a good entry with Ruairi Linehan coming 2nd only losing 2-1 in the final. Ruairi still has 2 more years in this age group.
Eddie Dooley 5th, David Enright 7th (winner of the plate), Benjamin Lynch 9th and Dominic 11th. These boys are all new to the sport and did very well.
The under 13 girls had three entrants from Cloghroe.
Niamh Lee came 3rd, Elena Geary came 4th and Lorna Collins came 5th.
In the Under 13 boys Darragh O'Brien only lost 11-9 in the 5th set in the semi final. Darragh bounced back to win a good match with Rory Griffin 3-1 to claim third spot.
Darragh Ruddy played some immaculate table tennis to come runner up in the ID Section. Darragh also got to the semi final of the under 15 boys plate competition.
