Great Day out in CIT at Cork City Sports

On Thursday, 1st June, Cloghroe NS was well represented in the Cork City Sports in CIT.
Despite the weather, the children enjoyed a wonderful day of sport and even managed to bring home some silverware!
The Senior Boys Relay Team won their relay, Aidan Cooke won his sprint and came second in the overall County Sprint. Cian Lenane and Amy McCarthy also came second in their sprints. Well done to all who took part. We know how hard you trained with Mrs. O’Connell and we are very proud of you all!

​Thursday night, 1st June also saw the close of the Blarney Inniscarra Running Leagues. Representing the school for the past four Thursday evenings, the junior girls and senior boys won their relay and Cloghroe children also did very well in the individual races. We would like to sincerely thank Mrs. O’Connell who gave a huge amount of time to training children for both of these events.
