Sports Events

  • Our swimmers, Conor Geaghan, Fiachra Wall, Tadhg Kelly, Peter Wall, Kate Naughton, Kate McSweeney, Eva Harrington and Neasa Wall represented Cloghroe N.S. in style at the Munster Swimming Championships held in the University of Limerick on November 26th. Eva and Neasa will now represent our school in the National Championships in the National Aquatic Centre in Dublin in February.

  • Sixth Class children are busy training, in preparation for the Primary Schools Basketball Tournament in Neptune Stadium in the New Year. 
  • Fourth Class children are also being kept busy at the moment training for an Indoor Football Blitz. The girls will line out in Blackrock on Wednesday 30th November, while the boys will have to wait until Tuesday 6th December. Both events will kick off at 1pm.

  • ​We would like to congratulate  the boys and girls who performed in the Munster Schools Table Tennis League in Kinsale on Tuesday 29th November. Eighteen children from the school took part in the competition. In the first division, the A Team took silver and the B Team took gold. In the second division, the C Team also took silver and in division 3, Team D won gold. Well done to all involved!
  • We would also like to congratulate all those who took part in the Schools Invitational Table tennis Competition in Gaelscoil Uí Drisceoil, Glanmire on Monday 5th December. In the A division, Niall Buckley came first, Dara O'Brien came second and Ben O' Connell came third. In the B division, Eoin Dwyer came first, Dara Lyons came second, Ronan O'Keeffe came third and Robert Dooling came fourth. Therefore, all contenders won medals! Well done boys!
