Teddy Bears' Picnic in Senior Infants
What fun we had on our last day in Senior Infants with our teddies, at work and at play, and of course a yummy picnic....
Musical Memories
Senior Infants enjoyed watching a virtual performance of Musical Memories performed by 6th class. The choir consisted of all 4th class students. We saw snippets of 3 different musicals, Aladdin, Mary Poppins and The Lion King.

The Enormous Crocodile
Senior Infants enjoyed listening to Roald Dahl’s classic picture book, The Enormous Crocodile this week. In groups the children created a large collaborative drawing illustrating the Enormous Crocodile’s cunning tricks.
Our Creative Space
Our creative area is like an art gallery. There is so much wonderful art work there, created by pupils throughout the school. We always enjoy a visit to our Creative Space.

Caterpillars to Butterflies
We watched caterpillars grow, build their chrysalis, and then hatch out. There were 4 beautiful painted lady butterflies. We released them into our school garden today.....

Engineers' Week 2021
We like to design and build just like real engineers. Engineers want to know how and why things work, and are really good at problem solving, just like us! Our challenge today was to make a boat out of playdough, and see how many passengers would fit in.

Our Winter Display
We have been learning about nature in Ireland during winter. We discussed all the signs of winter and wrote about winter.We created a lovely display outside our classroom.
Science Week in Senior Infants
Science week was a very enjoyable time in Senior Infants. We did experiments, investigating, predicting and tehn doing the experiments. We got some very interesting answers. we sang songs and participated in a Zoom call with Professor Baloney from UCC for his "Up in Smoke" Science Show.
Library Lion
We read a story all about the lion in the library. Then we drew pictures of the story while we listened to music by Mozart. We really enjoyed ourselves during art time.

Hallowe'en Fun in School
Maths Week
For Maths week we had lots of fun doing different Maths activities and playing Maths games, we also went on a Maths trail around the school.
Autumn Time in Cloghroe NS
We went on a nature walk , searching for signs of Autumn. We found lots of differnt things, including colourful leaves, nuts and seeds.

It's all about aliens this week in Senior Infants' Aistear.
Maths Week 2020
We went on a Maths Trail, both inside in the classroom ad outside in the yard, finding shapes such as squares, circles, triangles and rectangles, and doing lots of counting. It was a very busy morning!
Chalk Art
We are busy drawing the Solar system with chalk in the school yard. It is so much fun!!!
We are really enjoying our Aistear Stations this month !
Aistear: Space
Aistear is all about Space this month. We are learning about the Solar system with all the different planets, the International Space Station, the sun, moon and stars, and imagining what it would feel like to be Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon.
