Flat Stanley
Today we posted our Flat Stanleys to each other's Senior Infants classrooms. Then we had to guess who each person was by reading the information we wrote. It was a lot of work and great fun!!
The Glucksman Gallery
Senior Infants had a fantastic experience, visiting the Glucksman Gallery in UCC, where they participated in an Art Workshop based on Children's Rights. Highlights of the day include travelling on the orange double decker bus, taking part in the workshop, and of course a picnic lunch in the museum....
Disco
We had a disco in school today to as a big Thank You for all the fund-raising we have done for "Cloghroe on Broadway"
Popcorn!!!
We popped popcorn in school today. We wrote about it and we also got to eat it!!!! It was yummy and we felt we were at the circus.
Musicians in the Making......
Kyra's dad came into Senior infants with his saxophone. We did a musical workshop with him, using percussion instruments. It took a lot of concentration when we were playing the music. We loved it.
The Greatest Showman
We had a visitor during Aistear today, Tom performed his act from The greatest Showman on Earth.

More Circus Fun....
The Circus
Roll up, roll up everybody......It is Circus Time in Aistear in Senior Infants. Our classes are full of performers: clowns, jugglers, tight-rope walkers, acrobats but mention but a few. We have been busy making finger puppets so we can have our own circus, and our rooms are decorated with colourful clowns...

Aladdin
We had so much fun watching Aladdin performed by the West Midlands Theatre Group.
A Visitor from Santa's Workshop
Senior Infants received packages from the North Pole today. Inside was an elf , frozen solid. The silly billy didn't realise how cold it was......
Excitement is building....
We had our dress rehearsal today. It went very well. We are really looking forward to our performance tomorrow. See you there.....
Whoops-a-Daisy-Angel

Science Week Fun
We have had a lot of fun all week in school doing science activities. Here we are doing a science experiment about floating and sinking. We got some surprising answers...
The Space Dome
The Blackrock Castle Observatory Space Dome came to school today. It was so interesting to learn all about the night sky.

Maths is so much fun....Senior Infants were busy doing a Maths Trail both inside the classroom, and outside in the school yard as part of Maths Week. .
Hallowe'en Art
Senior Infants created their own pumpkins just in time to decorate their houses for Hallowe'en.

Senior Infants explored and discovered the names and many facts about some of our native trees at Autumn time.

Senior Infants and 6th class created some amazing art work with chalk in the school yard, based on the solar system.

Folk Music
Hands were clapping and feet were tapping in time to the music of the Folk Group Leizh from Brittany who visited us in school today.
Rugby World Cup 2019
Senior Infants singing Ireland's Call as they cheered on the Irish Rugby Team in Japan Thursday 3rd October.
Autumn
We went on a lovely walk around the school grounds in the warm autumn sunshine. We found some signs of autumn.
Humpty Dumpty
We learnt all about Humpty Dumpty and sequenced his story. He was not a very clever egg!!!
Back in School Again
We are all back in school together again in Senior Infants. We had a lovely summer and are ready for a busy year full of lots of learning and fun.
