School Tour and Ice Cream!
On the 9th of June Senior Infants went on their School Tour to Rumley's Farm. They had a fun filled, action packed day and luckily the sun was shining! As well as visiting the many animals and birds the children enjoyed Go-Karting, Zip Lining, Mini Golf, a picnic and finished the day with an enjoyable tractor ride. They returned to school on the bus tired but happy.
Flat Stanley and Frozen Art Work!
In May Senior Infants had great fun writing their 'Flat Stanley' letters and posting them under the door to the other Senior Infant classes. There was lots of fun and confusion trying to work out who wrote each letter from the clues given!
Senior Infants created some lovely 'Frozen' inspired Art Work to decorate the entrance of the Hall for Frozen the musical.

Time capsule
On the 21/01/15 Senior Infants created a time capsule. Each child filled out a Fact File of personal information and children included some personal items and pictures. The time capsule was then sealed and the children look forward to returning on the 21/01/16 when they are in 1st class to open it. We look forward to seeing what has changed and what has stayed the same.
January Art
Artists in Senior Infants have been busy making some beautiful artwork through out January.
Musical Shakers
Senior Infants had great fun making shakers and exploring sounds. They decorated them to add their own personal touch.
Mid-term Madness
Senior Infants had a busy October. They tended to their sick and injured teddies in an animal hospital setting. They undertook an autumn discovery trail around the school looking for signs of autumn and visiting and discussing various landmarks. This culminated in an exciting week preparing for Halloween. Spooky potions were concocted, frightening feasts enjoyed and the infants gathered for a witching experience in the hall. Great fun singing and dancing was had by all.
Maths Blast
Senior Infants continued to enjoy Maths Blast in November. During Maths Blast, the children are divided into small groups and play maths games and engage in maths activities. They improve their maths skills while having great fun.
A Trip to the Local Post Office
Senior Infants learned about the post-office and the journey
of a letter. They wrote invitations to their parents to the Christmas play
which they then posted. They enjoyed the experience of walking to the post
office and dropping their own letters into the postbox.
