Cloghroe N.S. celebrates Science Week 2016
Science Week activities for you at home
- On Wednesday 16.11.2016. Cloghroe will host a spectacular 3D tour of our Solar System with Space Sector Advisor Robert Hill, combining images from the Hubble European Space Agency Information Centre with the largest 3D screen of its kind in Ireland. Rob will bring us to visit the International Space Station as it whizzes around planet Earth, then we travel back in time to witness the Sun burst into life, and take a virtual flight over the surface of the Red Planet. Glimpse your place in the cosmos and try to answer the question ‘How big is big?’
- Robert Hill will also facilitate a Rocket Building and Launching Workshop
- On Tuesday 23.11.2015 there are two science quiz teams participating in the Lifetime Lab Science Quiz in Devere Hall, UCC. See www.lifetimelab.ie
- Keep a close eye on www.cloghroens.com to see what scientific investigations are popular in classes over the coming weeks.
