Physical Education

In September 2016 Cloghroe NS began the process of achieving an Active School Flag (ASF).  This is a Department of Education and Skills initiative supported by Healthy Ireland which aims to get schools and children more active, more often. The ASF is awarded to schools that strive to achieve a physically educated and physically active school community. Cloghroe NS prides itself on the physical education facilities and the many sports and activities which we provide and we believe that we are in a strong position to apply for and achieve an ASF.  A committee has been set up from the teaching staff and this team will coordinate the school's efforts throughout the year which will include a students body representation similar to the Green Schools Committee.  Please find attached some documents which will provide some additional information or visit www.activeschoolflag.ie.
