Cloghroe N.S. had 61 children audition for the competition, with 21 children making it through to the Showcase performances in Mont Oval. These showcase concerts took place every Sunday afternoon for the month of November.
Cloghroe N.S. is thrilled to announce that, following the showcase performances, we had a staggering 8 pupils make it to the Junior Idol final! What an incredible achievement!
All of the children involved rehearsed every day and spent countless lunch times in school rehearsing and preparing with Ms. Atkins Maher.
A breathtaking amount of dedication, hard work and determination was needed by these children and they all delivered!
Cloghroe N.S. would like to congratulate Laura Murtagh, Sorcha Monaher O’ Sullivan, Ellie O’ Driscoll, Tim Breen, Rebecca Scanlon, Nina Drummond, Sasha Rumianstava and Tadhg Kelly for making it to the final this December.
In particular we would like to congratulate Tadhg Kelly who came 3rd overall in the Junior Idol competition!! Tadhg sang his version of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah. Tadhg is passionate about music and singing. He has a haunting and mesmerizing voice and we are so happy for him! What an outstanding achievement! Well done Tadhg!
Congratulations to all of the children involved! What bright futures you all have! We are very proud of you!!
