Visit from Reena Buckley

One of Corks greatest sports women , visited Cloghroe School recently. Reena Buckley Holder of 16 All Ireland Medals, 10 for Ladies Football, 6 Camogie brought the O'Duffy Cup (Camogie) and the Brendan Martin Cup (Ladies Football) to the school. Reena has 6 doubles, winning both Camogie and football All Ireland medals in the same year. She recently won a sports star award for her achievements in 2015. In Cloghroe school, which fosters a great loyalty to sport, our pupils were very impressed with Reena as she spoke about how persistence, practice, healthy eating and plenty of sleep are important to a good sports person. Our school was very grateful to Reena for taking the time to come and show us those coveted trophies. We wish Reena and the Cork teams continued success and hope to see her back again next year.
