After all we need more parking!
We simply couldn’t take to the stage on February 15th without some input from our true superstars, our pupils. Therefore, under the guidance of our Creative Director, Ms. Karen Kelly an innovative and creative project began at the beginning of the year.
We truly appreciate student voice in Cloghroe N.S., therefore by taking their perspective on our current parking dilemma into consideration, this creation came to life.
Framework Films kindly facilitating the professional recording and creating of this short film. This was an incredible experience for the children involved and we learned many new creative techniques. We hope that this experience will show pupils how their passion has the potential to turn into a profession.
As “After All” recently won Cork’s Favourite Song, Mrs. Fiona Twomey rewrote the song lyrics to explain our current parking dilemma. Staff members in the school then recorded the track, under the musical direction of our very own Ms. Jean Atkins Maher.
The film proved to be a huge hit with the audience on the night! Well done everyone!

Cloghroe N.S. Goes To Broadway
Cloghroe NS, our much loved large Inniscarra school, plans to improve parking facilities, safety and access and will require large funds to do so. Traffic congestion at peak times has always been a difficulty and with new housing developments expected and an ever increasing population, ensuring safe access to our school is of paramount importance.
To this end a spectacular show is planned - Cloghroe NS Goes To Broadway. The community, in all its colour and drama, will display our talents on stage. Teams consisting of staff, parents and members of the local community will lip sync and dance to some memorable hits from Broadway. Local and parental communities have always been a terrific support and we are confident that this event will raise the huge funds to assist us in our aim.
The fundraiser is a community effort and will see a spectacular adult show produced and presented by Kevin Rowe Events taking place on Saturday 15th February 2020 in the Clayton Hotel, Silversprings.
