Cloghroe NS continues on our Active Journey

Despite the restrictions in school with Covid-19 Cloghroe NS has continued its proud tradition of a positive and healthy attitude towards physical exercise.  All classes regularly enjoy active breaks both in class and on yard incorporating dancing, walking, running and a whole host of other fun exercises.  In the past month we have participated in the Active Schools "Active Break Challenge" helping us to have fun keeping fit and also giving us a break from all our hard school work.  Our pictures capture some of the energy and excitement in our rooms.

Active School Flag awarded to Cloghroe NS

We would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to the Active School Committee and the entire school community here in Cloghroe NS, on the award of the Active School Flag (ASF).This Department of Education and Skills initiative supported by Healthy Ireland, aims to get schools and children more active, more often. The ASF is awarded to schools who prove themselves to have a physically educated and physically active school community. Cloghroe NS prides itself on the physical education facilities and the many sports and activities which we provide and so we are delighted to have been acknowledged with this award.
