A Summer Farewell
We’ve had a busy year. Since we bid farewell to Emma Dineen, as she took office as the President of the I.N.T.O and I’ve become Acting Principal it’s been an extremely busy time in Cloghroe School.
We’ve had All-Ireland Quiz participants, All-Ireland Table Tennis competitors, Ceilí Mór and lively music sessions from our traditional musical group on St. Patrick’s Day. We were awarded our fourth Green Flag for travel, thanks to all our walkers, particularly on W.O.W. Days. Great excitement and wonderful cooperation prepared our school for the First Holy Communion ceremony this year, in our new painted Halla Uí Chonaill. We’ve had a very successful Book Fair which raised funds for our school. Our School Musical Frozen received tremendous praise and applause for the great entertainment given.
Now it’s time to bid farewell to this year’s 6th Class. We are sad to see them go. They were well prepared and ready to leave us. We acknowledge their great skills and talents and know that they take these skills and talents to the next part of their lives in Secondary School.
On behalf of all the staff in Cloghroe N.S. I want to wish our wonderful pupils and their parents a happy and safe holidays.
Bain taitneamh as na laethanta saoire. Enjoy the holidays!
See you all on Monday, 31st August ’15.
Mary McSwiney,
Acting Principal.
